Fonroche Overview

Overview

Fonroche Énergie was founded in 2008 by Yann Maus, a visionary entrepreneur with a clear understanding of the tremendous potential of solar energy.

Headquartered in Roquefort, near Agen, south-west France, the company today employs 190 people and had revenues of €200 million in 2014. FONROCHE provides clean energy solutions to an increasingly international customer base, specializing in solar (photovoltaic and solar thermal systems), biogas, geothermal and off-grid lighting systems. We manage the entire value chain, from sourcing to design and manufacture, financing, installation, testing, operation and maintenance.

This successful business model is being leveraged to expand our global footprint through a network of sales offices in eight countries, enabling customers everywhere to enjoy world-class renewable energy solutions and services.

Committed to a long-term strategy based on sound ethical business practices, FONROCHE Énergie is today a recognized industry leader. In 2010 the Group received a capital increase from Eurazeo, a private investment firm, raising its total investment in the Group to €50 million.

This injection of new funds is supporting the Group’s international expansion and diversification into other renewable energy segments, including biogas and geothermal. In addition to its 39% interest in Fonroche Énergie, Eurazeo is also the majority or leading shareholder in Accor, Edenred ANF, APCOA, Elis, Europcar and Rexel.
